BELLINGEN SHIRE IN PICTURES NO 1

071

Repton is one of the villages in Bellingen Shire. It had a Post Office and general store till the floods of 2009 washed them away – more or less. The trees are tall and the architecture stunning.  The roads wind and twist. Nearby is the Community of Bundagen. They have café there on Tuesdays. Fine foods and excellent atmosphere.

TROVE REPTON.

BUNDAGEN.

There is an excellent traditional caravan park at Repton. BELLINGER VALLEY TOURIST something or other. The atmosphere at the Park is friendly and relaxed and vibrant.

Repton has a Butchery. Perry’s it is , up on top of the hill and a school down the bottom beside the Bellinger River. I used to teach there as a casual.

It appears that there is a hidden speed camera someplace there as well but I don’t know anything about it.

O WHAT A PERFECT DAY

THE WEE LORIKEET OUT ON THE FOOTBRIDGE IN URUNGA

Spring days at last. I do a lot better in Spring. The sun rises more brightly. The birds are more colourful. The footbridge extensions grow nearer to completion.  The new cabins go in at BELLINGER RIVER TOURIST PARK. There is Vispassana at Bundagen and the little children are playing at the Mobile Playgroup.

Its the Spring Equinox and a full moon as well. AQUARIUS PAPERS.

FROM THE BELLINGER RIVER TOURIST PARK

The first ever ensuite cabin at the Bellinger River Tourist Park… I have just had a climb up and stood on the deck – the views are gorgeous!
